HOSE SET

Hose set

Hose set is the number of hoses that one car has been fitted with. Most cars has 4 hoses but it is not rare a car with 6 or 3 pcs.
It depends on the rooting of the solid hoses that press the brake liquid to the calipers.

HOSE SET TEFLON BRAKE HOSES BIG BRAKE KITS

Hose set usualy is the combination of hose lengths and fittings that constitute the set. Female and male fittings with clips from the body’s
side and male and banjos from the caliper’s side.

Hose Set Properties

Inner tube
PTFE synterized resin smooth bore tube;  the particular structure of the PTFE assures high permeability values and a high mechanical stress resistance.
It has dielectrical and fire resistance properties.

Reinforcement
STD: one stainless steel braid AISI 304

Temperature
The wide working temperature range (from -70°C to +260°C) allows
our hoses to be the right solution for many technical problem in
any industrial field.

Advantages
Extreme flexibility
High resistant to the aging
Low maintenance
Chemical inertness

Hose set quality and testing

The quality of the products is always the same. Certified Teflon (PTFE) hose with PVC protection (clear) and “ALL” hoses tested with air 3000psi.
We seal the hose and test it for leaks applying a pressure of 3000psi.

More on PTFE Teflon

Teflon, also known as polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), is a synthetic fluoropolymer of tetrafluoroethylene. It is a unique material with several remarkable properties, which make it widely used in various industrial and commercial applications. Some key properties of Teflon (PTFE) include:

  1. Nonstick Properties: Teflon is famous for its excellent nonstick properties. It has a very low coefficient of friction, which means that substances do not adhere strongly to its surface. This characteristic is widely utilized in nonstick cookware and other applications where sticking or adhesion is undesirable.
  2. Chemical Resistance: Teflon is highly resistant to chemical attack and does not react with most substances. It can withstand exposure to a wide range of corrosive chemicals, acids, and bases without degrading.
  3. High Heat Resistance: PTFE can withstand high temperatures without significant loss of properties. It has a high melting point of around 327°C (621°F) and remains stable at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for use in high-temperature applications.
  4. Low Friction and Wear: The low coefficient of friction of Teflon makes it an excellent material for applications involving moving parts, reducing friction and wear between components.
  5. Electrical Insulation: Teflon is an outstanding electrical insulator, making it useful in electrical and electronic applications. It can maintain its insulating properties even at high temperatures.
  6. Water Repellency: Teflon is hydrophobic, meaning it repels water. This property is beneficial in various applications where moisture resistance is essential.
  7. UV Resistance: PTFE is highly resistant to ultraviolet (UV) radiation, which means it can be used outdoors without significant degradation due to sun exposure.
  8. Biocompatibility: Medical-grade Teflon is biocompatible, meaning it is well-tolerated by the human body and has medical applications, such as in certain implants and medical devices.
  9. Inertness: Teflon is considered inert, meaning it does not react with most substances. This property is advantageous in applications where the material must not contaminate or react with the substances it comes into contact with.
  10. Flexibility and Low Density: PTFE is a lightweight and flexible material, which adds to its versatility and ease of use in various applications.

Despite its many positive attributes, Teflon also has some limitations, such as relatively low mechanical strength compared to metals and its poor bonding properties, which can make it difficult to adhere to other materials without specialized surface treatments. Nonetheless, Teflon’s unique combination of properties makes it an essential material in numerous industries, including aerospace, automotive, chemical processing, electronics, and more.
